Auto Sports & Imports started in Gurnee, Illinois in 1991. We moved to Kenosha in 2002 and have served Lake County drivers ever since. Many of our longtime clients still come up from Gurnee, Waukegan, Libertyville and Lake Forest. They want dealer-level work on their European cars without dealer prices or the long drive into Chicagoland service departments.

Is it worth driving to Wisconsin for car service?
Most of Lake County is 20–35 minutes from our shop, often closer than the nearest dealer service department. Clients tell us the savings over dealer rates and the accurate diagnosis are worth the drive.
Do you work on cars still under factory warranty?
We handle maintenance and non-warranty repairs on all European makes. Routine maintenance done by an independent shop doesn't void your factory warranty as long as it's done correctly. We keep detailed records for you.
Do you do pre-purchase inspections?
Yes. If you're buying a used BMW, Mercedes, Porsche or other European car in the Chicago area, we can inspect it before you buy.

I was passing through town on vacation in my 911. Stopped for gas and when I restarted my car, it lit up 3 error messages and was misfiring. I searched for Porsche repair services near me and found Auto Sports & Imports. Took a chance since I’m not from Kenosha. I was able to drop it off and they looked at it right away. Purchased a rental vehicle nearby and went on with my vacation. Merek diagnosed the issues and coordinated the repairs over the phone. I picked up my car on my way home from vacation 5 days later. They did a great job.
